An update on my 2025 availability - psychological services for children AND adults ✨

Assessments are currently being booked approximately 1 month in advance, with a one week turnaround for a comprehensive report. This is the earliest availability I’ve EVER had for assessments - so get in while the waitlist is short!

These services are available on-site at @roarpsychology in Croydon (intake and feedback can be via Telehealth if required).

Supervision is available for provisional or fully registered psychologists. Availability for weekly or fortnightly ongoing sessions is limited, however individual/as needed or monthly sessions are more accessible. This can be conducted via Telehealth or on-site.

Hi, I’m Emma 👋🏼

I’ve had quite a number of new followers in the last few months so I thought I’d properly introduce myself!

I am a psychologist, author and board-approved supervisor based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. I own and run @roarpsychology in Croydon, where we focus on neuroaffirming assessment of autism, adhd and learning difficulties in children and adults, as well as parenting support/counselling. Brains are cool 🧠

I recently published my first children’s book, Michael the Volcano Engineer through @bravebrainsbooks, illustrated by @togandpini 🌋📚

One of my most favourite roles is providing supervision to early-career psychologists, and psychologists seeking support or more information about assessment, working with children and parents, or creating resources/publishing books relating to mental health. 🤓

I’m passionate about educating families and helping them up-skill and become the best parents they can be ♥️✨

Ensuring that children feel safe to be their true authentic selves in session; whether that be for assessment or counselling, is one of my biggest priorities. And that always starts with me being MY authentic self. Children can see an imposter a mile away 😝

I love Harry Potter. Animals. Farms! Especially cows. Lord of the Rings. I love being silly and wearing lots of colour. Building lego. Having fun! Travelling, exploring. Being curious.

I was gifted the most beautiful soft toy/therapy tool/communication tool for children- I can’t wait to share it with you! (whilst also providing everyone with a bit of Velcro ASMR for your Thursday morning).

@mybuddyboocrew was created by local Melbournian Katie after her daughter went through cancer treatment. Children find it difficult to express their emotions at the best of times- let alone when they are going through such a devastating illness. She made my buddy boo to provide the children at the @monashchildrenshospital to have more tools and supports in place, and hopefully get through their treatments with the mental wellbeing and emotional support they deserve ♥️

What an absolute champion!

I’m going to use @mybuddyboocrew in the office to support children with limited verbal skills to build their communication in a way that helps them feel safe ✨👏🏼 I’m so grateful to Katie for sharing her incredible work!
